The Corporation of the City of Burlington (the “City”) requires a service provider for preventative maintenance (PM) and on-demand maintenance, repairs, and related services (all collectively referred to as DM) for overhead doors and sliding doors including all labour, materials, services, transportation, and incidentals, but not including supply, delivery, and installation of new overhead doors or sliding doors for a period of up to five (5) years. The successful Bidder (the “Contractor” or the “Vendor”) shall provide a comprehensive preventive maintenance service (the “Work”) for various City facilities at twenty-seven (27) locations on a semi-annual basis. Some sites have multiple buildings, and the equipment includes overhead doors as well as sliding doors. Both PM and DM shall meet or exceed the specifications included in this document. The information included in this document is based on information available with the City at the time of publishing this RFT. Throughout the contract term, the Contractor must provide the DM on a required basis. The Bid Pricing-DM table provides annual estimated hours for such services and does not represent a commitment from the City on DM labour hours. For the duration of the Contract, the City reserves the right to add or remove equipment to be maintained due to various reasons including but not limited to facility construction, renovation, demolition, etc. Further, there may be facilities not listed in this RFT that will require DM and the Contractor shall provide these services when requested by the City. DM shall be invoiced separately from PM. For the term of the Contract, the Contractor will be the City’s preferred service provider for all overhead door and sliding door-related work excluding supply, delivery, and installation of new overhead doors or sliding doors. However, the City reserves the right to self-supply or obtain service(s) from the open market, especially when the services, pricing, or timeline offered by the Contractor for DM do not meet the City’s expectations. |
