Description: |
ONLINE SUBMISSIONS ONLY The City of Burlington is inviting bids from qualified and experienced consulting teams with expertise in landscape architecture, lighting design, irrigation design, civil, electrical and mechanical engineering, and include a certified arborist and cost consultant for the renewal of the west side of Sherwood Forest Park. The scope of work includes the 2026 Park Master Plan update, facility-fit investigations (grading, drainage and servicing), concept development, design, permitting, regulatory approvals, tender package preparation, contract administration, commissioning, acceptance, and project closeout. The intent of this project is to renew and revitalize existing park assets on the west side, building on recommendations from the Sherwood Forest Park Revitalization Plan (2016 Master Plan) and further supported by the 2024 Live and Play Plan. The overarching goal is to enhance the park user experience and upgrade infrastructure to meet current standards. The 2024 Live and Play Plan identified a significant need for a full-size, dedicated cricket facility in Burlington, as none currently exist. (Refer to the City of Burlington 2024 Live and Play Plan for further details – see Section 1.5.) Substantial design changes to the west side of the park may be required, depending on the outcomes of the Park Master Plan update, facility-fit investigations, schematic design, cost estimation and available capital budget funding. This design process presents an opportunity to improve accessibility, enhance pedestrian circulation, address user needs, and guide future phased expansion and asset enhancements.
