The City of Burlington, Burlington Transit, invites proposals from interested parties for services to supplement the specialized transit services (Handi-Van). This includes providing high quality, customer focused, reliable and on time service in accordance with the specifications and provisions contained herein, with supporting schedules and appendices.  Proponents are encouraged to develop proposals and supporting business and operational practices with emphasis on:

• Operating a safe, secure and reliable service

• Providing exceptional, high quality customer service to customers, including those with disabilities

• Supporting the development of a positive ethic, spirit and culture of public transit service in the City of Burlington

• Working as an engaged partner with the City of Burlington

• supply all specialized transit vehicles, vehicle storage, vehicle maintenance, drivers, labour, material, equipment, and supervision that are adequate in quantity and quality to ensure safe, effective, and reliable specialized transit services (“Deliverables”) for residents of the City of Burlington (“City”). 

The Deliverables consists of the supplemental service to the city’s Specialized Transit Service as described herein, and in compliance with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act, 2005.
