The Corporation of the City of Burlington (the “City”)   intends to retain an experienced and qualified insurance broker to provide quality comprehensive general insurance and risk management services for the City for a period of up to ten (10) years.
The successful Bidder (the “Vendor”)  shall act as a primary “Broker of Record” for the City’s insurance coverage as identified in this document and for the provision of services relating to the City’s insurance and risk management programs. The Broker of Record is required to perform efficiently and effectively as a team member, working with City staff to provide professional advice, administer and enhance that program, as well as assist in ensuring that the City is covered by appropriate types of insurance policies or alternative risk financing mechanisms, with suitable limits and deductibles, to provide advice to the City regarding insurance coverage, placement issues, and provide risk management assistance in a timely manner.
