*ONLINE BID SUBMISSIONS ONLY* The City seeks Tenders from experienced and qualified service contractors for ongoing Street Light Maintenance Services. Work under this Contract requires the Successful Bidder to carry out preventative and reactive maintenance within the boundaries of the City of Burlington. The City of Burlington has approximately 19,000 streetlights. The maintenance program will be both scheduled, as well as responding to service requests from the public. The City also maintains the Region of Halton Roads within the City of Burlington City limits as part of this contract. That includes luminaires, poles, support arms, power supply cabinets, relays, photocells, and overhead/underground street lighting power conductors. The Successful Bidder will be responsible for providing skilled labour and all equipment required to perform streetlight repairs and maintenance as per the specification requirements, as well as for supplying and delivering all materials other than those denoted by the words “City-Supplied”.
(*If the bidder does not possess authorization at the time of the City’s issuance of the intent to award notification, the bidder must obtain and provide proof of authorization by January 17, 2023.) Alternatively, to the above, the Successful Bidder may choose to utilize Local Distribution Company resources, or other LDC approved Contractors, for all Work or partial Work on their respectively owned poles at no additional cost to the City.
